The Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) provides a detailed schematic of the plant's piping, instrumentation and control systems. It specifies piping dimensions, materials of construction, valve locations and instrumentation details to ensure accurate representation of all components. The P&ID serves as a key reference for construction and maintenance teams.
